· Five of the commercial banks are former specialized state banks: one is saving bank (Oschadnybank), two are specialized lending banks (Prominvestbank and Ukrsotsbank), and one is the Export-Import Bank of Ukraine.
· Part of the international banks in Ukrainian market is 24 %. There are currently seven main banking companies in Ukraine with foreign ownership: Calyon, Citibank, HVB Ukraine, ING, Raiffeisenbank, BNP Paribas, Banca Intesa.
· The most effective in Europe electronic banking clearing system has been implemented in Ukraine. It helps banks to accomplish transactions within 40 minutes.
